Restoring The Gift exists to bring hope and healing to hurting marriages.
“We came to Restoring The Gift after hitting rock bottom in our marriage. I remember lying in bed one night wondering how I can feel so alone even though Cory was lying right beside me. We were trying to work through anger, bitterness, the affects of infidelity and the fear of the future.
RTG was the catalyst we needed to work through all of these things. We began to realize what drew us together in the first place. It was a safe place for us to share our story with others who were facing similar challenges and without being judged. It helped us to rebuild our relationship and family. It helped us to see that God truly is capable of creating beauty from ashes. Nineteen years later we are still together and in awe of God’s Grace.”

”A friend told us about restoring the gift when our marriage desperately needed help. It was refreshing to hear we were not alone in our struggles. Other couples who have “been there“ walked alongside us and taught us how to face our guilt, anger, and fears. We learned tools on how to improve our communication which brought us closer to the Lord and to each other. We felt so strongly about this program that we went through it a second time and then became leaders for the next 15 years. We lead, not because we had all of the answers, but because we allowed God to continue to work in our marriage and help others in the process. We were beyond blessed to have a front row seat to God‘s work in saving marriages.“ ❤️

We just completed our second annual RTG Fall Retreat In October 2023!
What a joy it was for us to join together with other married couples and have a front row seat to what God is doing in their lives and marriages!
We had a beautiful weekend together at “The Shack”, in Jugville, Michigan! We enjoyed great food, great fellowship, and great weather together as we worked toward healing and wholeness in our marriages.
Participants were challenged to examine their wounds, face their fears, and “let go“ of things that were hindering their relationship with their spouse.
Here’s what participants said about what they valued…
~ “Excellent material and presentations. Individual stories that were shared and the vulnerability of the leaders.”
~ “Time, tranquility, connecting with others, being open to God.”
~ “Time outside, being loved on, and prayed for, resources for later.”
~ “God centered focus and transparency of the leaders.”
~ “Jesus’s presence here.”
~ “The space to explore my weaknessses, challenge my next days with new tactics.”
~ “The openness of the leadership team and their willingness to personally connect with us as individuals and as couples.”
~ “Everyone being real about where they were and are currently.”
~ “Time between sessions to walk and talk.”
~ “Time spent together in group, but more so, time I was able to spend with my wife and Jesus. Strengthening my faith in both my marriage and our God.”
~ “The teaching and hearing the experience of other couples. To hear the struggle and the hope was so important.”
Keith and Jan,
“Hi! I’ve been meaning to reach out to you guys sooner but it’s been hard for me to put into words the gratitude I have. Restoring The Gift was transformational for Dan and I. I truly feel I left that weekend with a new perspective, a changed mindset and an open heart for Jesus. Dan and I didn’t have a good chance to really share our whole story with you all be we hit rock bottom over the summer after 14 years together (8 married) and have been rebuilding since August with Christ as our foundation. It has been hard work but Dan and I both couldn’t think of anything more important than this. I am amazed every day of the work God is doing in our lives personally and together. Our marriage, our home and our family (2 young kids) are all feeling the fruit of the blessings that have come from it. So THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for everything at the RTG RETREAT.”
